2004 USA Cross Country Championships
World Cross Country Team Trials

On February 7-8th 2004, the roster for the 2004 USA World Cross Country Championship teams will be decided
in Indianapolis. The top six finishers in the Elite Open and Junior races are eligible to compete at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. With more than 400 athletes competing in six championship races the Indiana Invaders are honored to play host to this championship event.

Championship Races:
- Junior Women's 6K, Junior Men's 8K
- Elite Open Women's 4K, Elite Open Men's 4K
- Elite Open Women's 8K, Elite Open Men's 12K
- Masters Women's 6K, Masters Men's 6K
Awards/Prize Money Awards:
USA Championship medals will be presented to the top finishers in each race. Prize money will be awarded
to the top finishers in each of the Open races as noted below.
Prize Money
College athletes with remaining eligibility and high school students are not eligible to win prize money.
Prize money will revert to the next lower finisher.
The guaranteed total purse of $14000 will be divided amongst the Elite Open Men and Women
(a total of 4 races).
Awards Celebration
the top 10 finishers in the men's and women's open and junior races will
be honored at the finish line immediately following the conclusion
of that competition. An awards celebration will be Saturday, February 8 at 6pm.
in the Indianapolis Room in the meet hotel. Awards from Saturday's competitions will be presented at this time. Awards for Sunday's competitions will be presented immediately following the conclusion of that event.
