Local Directions: West of Meridian on 16th Street approximately 1 1/2 miles. The course is 1 block past the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr. Street on the left as one travels west (across from the UPS facility).

From the Meet Hotel
Exit the parking garage by turning left (east) on Market Street. Go 1/2 block
to Illinois street and turn left (north). Proceed north on Illinois Street
approximately 1 1/2 miles to 16th Street. Turn left (west) on 16th Street and
proceed approximately 1/2 mile. The course is 1 block past the intersection of
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street on your left.
From Chicago, IL (I-65 from the north):
Take I-65 South to Exit 114 (West Street). At the end of the exit ramp, turn
right (west) on 11th Street. Take the next immediate right and head north on
Martin Luther King Dr. Proceed to 16th Street and turn left (west). The course
is on 1 block west on 16th Street on your left side (south side of the road).
From Detroit, MI (I-69 from the north):
Take I-69 South to I-465 South (Exit 0). Take I-465 South approximately 7
miles to I-70 West (Exit 44) and head west towards downtown Indianapolis. As you
approach downtown, take I-65 North. This will take you across the north side of
the downtown district. Exit I-65 at Exit 114. At the end of the exit ramp you
must turn left (south). At the next light turn right (west) on 11th Street. Take
the next immediate right and head north on Martin Luther King Dr. Proceed to
16th Street and turn left (west). The course is on 1 block west on 16th Street
on your left side (south side of the road).
From St. Louis, MO (I-70 from the west):
Take I-70 East to Missouri Street (Exit 79a). At the end of the ramp go
through the first stoplight and turn left (north) at the second stoplight.
Proceed north on Missouri Street passing the RCA Dome on your right. You have
now merged onto West Street. Continue north about 3/4 mile. When you pass the
"Walker Theatre" (big sign on top of the building on your left), get
in the left lane and look for a sign that points you to Martin Luther King Jr.
Street. There will be a crossover lane on your left that has a stoplight and
appears like you are being directed into oncoming traffic. Follow this lane onto
Martin Luther King Jr. Street and proceed north for another approximately 3/4
mile to 16th Street. Turn left (west) onto 16th Street. The course is on 1 block
west on 16th Street on your left side (south side of the road).
From Peoria, IL (I-74 from the west):
Take I-74 East. I-74 will become Crawfordsville Road on the west side of
Indianapolis as it crosses I-465. Continue east on Crawfordsville Road for
approximately 2 miles. You will come to a stoplight where you will see the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway on your left. Veer left onto 16th Street and
continue heading east for another 3 1/2 miles. The course is on your right
(south side of the road). If you cross Martin Luther King Jr. Street, you have
gone too far.
From Louisville, KY (I-65 from the south):
Take I-65 North and you will merge with I-70 East on the southeast side of
downtown Indianapolis. Stay in the left lanes and make sure you stay on I-65
North when the interstates split. I-65 will turn left to the west and this will
take you across the north side of the downtown district. Exit I-65 at Exit 114.
At the end of the exit ramp you must turn left (south). At the next light turn
right (west) on 11th Street. Take the next immediate right and head north on
Martin Luther King Dr. Proceed to 16th Street and turn left (west). The course
is 1 block west on 16th Street on your left side (south side of the road).
From Cincinnati, OH (I-74 from the east):
Take I-74 West to I-465 South. I-465 South to I-65 North. Take I-65 North and
you will merge with I-70 East on the southeast side of downtown Indianapolis.
Stay in the left lanes and make sure you stay on I-65 North when the interstates
split. I-65 will turn left to the west and this will take you across the north
side of the downtown district. Exit I-65 at Exit 114. At the end of the exit
ramp you must turn left (south). At the next light turn right (west) on 11th
Street. Take the next immediate right and head north on Martin Luther King Dr.
Proceed to 16th Street and turn left (west). The course is 1 block west on 16th
Street on your left side (south side of the road).
From Columbus OH (I-70 from the east):
Take I-70 West towards downtown Indianapolis. As you approach downtown, take
I-65 North. This will take you across the north side of the downtown district.
Exit I-65 at Exit 114. At the end of the exit ramp you must turn left (south).
At the next light turn right (west) on 11th Street. Take the next immediate
right and head north on Martin Luther King Dr. Proceed to 16th Street and turn
left (west). The course is on 1 block west on 16th Street on your left side
(south side of the road).

From the Meet Hotel

then back right) to the entrance for the Indianapolis Zoo. The parking for the
cross country course is at the Indianapolis Zoo. Turn right into the Zoo and
follow the signs.
From Chicago, IL (I-65 from the north):
Take I-65 South to Exit 114 (West Street). Continue straight (south) as you
come off the exit ramp and you are now on West Street. Proceed approximately 1
mile to Washington Street and turn right (west). Washington Street will curve
left, then right. The parking for the cross country course is at the
Indianapolis Zoo. Turn right into the Zoo and follow the signs.

From Peoria, IL (I-74 from the west):
Take I-74 East. It will become Crawfordsville Road on the west side of

11th Street, continue straight and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street becomes
West Street.

Take I-65 North and you will merge with I-70 East on the southeast side of

Directions to the Lighted Warm-up Courses
Pedestrian access directions from the Meet Hotel to the Lighted Warm up
Course at Military Park:
Go north on Illinois; left (west) on Ohio; 2 and a half blocks to the canal;
left at the canal; military park is opposite the Eiteljorg Museum on top of
the levee and is 800 meters �plus� on the smooth grass perimeter with modest
lighting after dark; continue along the canal until reaching the NCAA Hall
of Fame and to the south (left) past the Historic Pump House building is a
grass amphitheater that is 500 meters on the grass perimeter with a good
sized grass hill and moderate lighting along the perimeter of the park.
